Hello! 

 

I am a former teacher.  I was drawn to massage therapy because I wanted to help others experience what I experienced with massage… that it can greatly improve the quality of one’s life.

 

During a very stressful time in my life, a friend gave me the gift of massage, and it changed my life! I enrolled in  and graduated from the Virginia School of Massage in 2001. I recently relocated a very successful practice in Washington, DC to Frederick, MD.

 

I have a variety of techniques with which I can individualize sessions for my clients, depending upon their needs.  For many clients I focus on stress relief.  For others it’s more therapeutic, relieving acute or chronic pain.  For most clients, it’s a combination – as the mind deals with stress it often manifests as “knots” or hyper-constricted areas within the muscle tissue.  Therapeutic massage excels at relieving soft tissue pain, and bringing mind and body together again!  I have specialized in pain relief and I enjoy helping my clients understand what is causing the pain and what they can do to help themselves.

I practice a wide range of modalities, including Swedish, Deep tissue, Neuromuscular, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Massage, Raindrop Therapy and Pregnancy Massage.  

 

 

I recently became certified as a Lypossage practitioner ( a non-invasive approach to losing cellulite, sculpting the body and stimulating the lymph system).  Lypossage is a very exciting new modality!   www.lypossage. net
