Allow me to introduce
you to the many benefits of Therapeutic Massage. It will help you reduce
stress, relive pain,
and improve your overall well being. In 1994 a reoccurring
back problem incapacitated me with intense pain and sleepless nights. My
journey back to a pain
free life introduced me to physical therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic care.
Although these methods
helped, I was told I would have to live with the condition. It wasn’t until I entered
massage school that I
gained the knowledge to alleviate my back pain. In 1996 I graduated from the
Baltimore School of
Massage where I studied anatomy, physiology, body
mechanics, exercise and different
massage techniques and
modalities. What started out as a simple quest
for knowledge turned into a life
changing experience. I was so convinced that massage therapy could
bring improved health
and balance into people’s lives that I changed careers and became a full time
massage therapist. |
My work experience includes two
years in a physical therapy office, six years
in day spas and a year in chiropractic offices. I now have a full
time private practice at 812-A Toll House Ave. in
Frederick, MD and also work part time at the Bath House Health
Center in Berkeley Springs, WV. I am nationally
certified and state certified in both Maryland and West
Virginia. I have been trained in Swedish
and deep tissue massage, myofacial releasing, neuromuscular
therapy, muscle energy work, active isolated stretching, Thai
massage and hot stone therapy. Using a
mixture of techniques and modalities, I can
help relieve back pain, sports injuries,
tension headaches and other physical
ailments. Over the years I have developed a massage that is both therapeutic and relaxing. |
